The last week was pretty rainy and cold here in Los Angeles…And you better believe it that I was bundled up in every possible way. One of my favorite winter accessory has been the oversized scarf, not just because oversized scarves look stylish and chic, but because they are great at warding off the winter chills while keeping me cozy and comfortable. I feel like carrying an oversized scarf is akin to carrying a small blankie, which for a cold and rainy day, feels amazing. I usually keep neutral colored scarves because they make for an easy grab and go- without much worry of clashing with my outfits. I also prefer soft fabrics, but not the overly expensive kinds like wool and cashmere, because I hate to see them get snagged or ruined. With 2 little ones with me all the time, I like affordable, somewhat heavy duty kind of fabrics.
This oversized scarf I am wearing is the perfect almost neutral soft pink, pretty much compatible with any color palette. After all, soft pink and blush are the “neutral” colors of the year aren’t they? During Fall and Winter, (Ok, I think maybe all year) I pretty much live in skinny jeans and boots, so naturally on these rainy days, I was wearing mostly these outfit combinations, with my oversized scarf, of course. In this outfit of the day, I am wearing a light sweater from Forever21, skinny jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch, and over the knee boots by Dolce VIta. My oversized scarf is old, gifted to me for my blog. I did I link some other oversized scarves below for you to check out.
