It’s the holidays (kind of), and it’s time to make those treats and goodies for a number of people, including the classmates of your little ones. This is the 2nd year of school for my 6 year old and during special days and holidays, I try to make small treats for the class. I would generally make different bags for the teachers, front office, and crossing guards, which have consisted of individually packaged Sprinkles cupcakes (an extra 50 cents for each box), organic chocolate bars, mugs filled with chocolates, etc.). For the winter holidays, I created an easy holiday treats for kindergarteners, all from Target. When you want to purchase 20 or more small items to give to students, the best place to go to is the Target dollar spot. You can find the cutest items for a good price, like these holiday magnetic notepads, which were $1.00. There were also a pack of 10 pencils for $1.00 that I broke apart to attach to the magnetic pads. Of course, Holiday Treats for Kindergarteners are not complete without a candy cane, so I also included one for each student. The classic peppermint flavor is probably the best aesthetic wise, but I opted for the yummier and more colorful Sweet Tarts flavor because I know the kids would love this more. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make these holiday treats for your little one’s friends, but they definitely can add a little excitement to their day as they head into the holidays. I don’t usually give too much, only a little something to make the treat fun. I also limit candy and sugar- preferring to only give something school related like playdohs or crayons. It’s a nice way to give the kiddos something small to have during the special occasions. Plus, it never hurts to be nice to the kids who your kiddo will be spending majority of his days with 😊.
