It is almost cold and flu season, and every purse and car probably has a number of hand sanitizers around.  Of course, the best sanitizers are the alcohol based ones, as these do not have chemicals like tricolasan, which is a big no no.  My favorite hand sanitizers for the moment are the EO hand sanitizers, which come in delicious aromas like sweet orange, or peppermint… yummm!! These bottles can run about $4.00 to $5.00, and since its easy to go through them, I thought why not make these little heavenly bottles of sanitizers? For this easy DIY EO hand sanitizer spray, you will need isopropyl alcohol (I purchased mine from Target for less than $1.00), bottled water, essential oils (I am using tea tree and lavender oil from Amazon and CVS) and an empty spray bottle.  Mix 1/3 water, 2/3 alcohol in your container.  Add your essential oils, based on your preference.  For me, I added, about 10 to 13 drops of lavender oil to give my DIY EO hand sanitizer spray that delicious aroma, and about 2-3 drops of tea tree oil.  Tea tree oil has a very strong, distinct smell, so less is always best. ( I added tea tree oil because it has antibacterial property).  If you want, you can also add a drop or two of vitamin e oil or any other moisturizing oil you prefer.  This will add some moisturizing benefits to your otherwise drying DIY EO Hand Sanitizer Spray =)
