Toast and Avocado

I am obsessed with this extremely easy, vegan snack!  Who knew avocado can taste just like butter?  When I am in need of a quick, healthy snack, I toast some organic whole wheat bread, apply generous slices of delicious avocado and sprinkle some salt on top of the avocado.  This toast and avocado snack is so delicious and rich!   I can easily eat this for breakfast, or as a mid afternoon bite =)

toast and avocadoAvocados are some of the best fruits to eat.  They are high in monounsaturated fat, the good fat, making them great for the heart and skin.  Avocados also have protein, about 4 grams per serving, more than most fruits out there.  They are high in fiber, making you feel full longer.

Avocados contain a number of minerals and vitamins, as well as antioxidants. But the best thing about avocados is that they are extremely delicious!  Try this simple, toast and avocado “butter” and you will definitely agree with me =)

  1. I know you won’t believe this, I have never had avocado… I think that is something I am going to taste test this summer for sure, I will let you know what I think of it, I keep hearing how good it is for us. :)
