Even though it is officially Spring, it is still somewhat cool here in Los Angeles. But when the sun finally comes out, the sunny weather almost feels like Summer. Spring weather here means mornings are often cool, almost cold, gradually warming up to hot, eventually cooling again by late afternoon. This, of course, means layering, sometimes a jacket over a Spring dress will do. For this outfit of the day, I layered a brown moto jacket from Trouve over an old white dress. This white dress is from last season, but what I love about any white dress is that it is as timeless and classic as any good little black dress. A simple white dress is often too plain for me, as I prefer a little detail here and there. I love the cutout details of this white dress, layered over a nude colored lining, creating a simple, but chic silhouette. I always think white is one of the most flattering, versatile colors, so instead of LBD’s I actually prefer to collect white dresses. I linked a few similar pieces below. Which do you prefer? White dresses or black dresses?
