Though it is officially Spring here in Southern California, the weather ranges from cold to hot all in one day. Southern California mornings can be quite chilly, slowly warming up to hot by noon and then gradually cooling again as the sun begins to set. Somewhat confused by this weather, I found that besides my usual floral outfits, ripped denim for Spring has been my go to outfit choice. After all, ripped denim is perfect for a cool morning, paired with a light jacket and then a thin blouse as the day warms up.
Ripped denim for Spring is the perfect casual, run around town kind of jeans because of their casual chic look. As a petite person, I always found it challenging to find the right ripped denim for Spring, and my favorites have all been from Abercrombie and Fitch. I have learned to stick to what I like, instead of trying a number of brands, only to be disappointed by them. I always get size 24 in jeans in Abercrombie and for the most part, the jeans I have purchased (usually online) have fitted me perfectly. What I like about Abercrombie ripped denim jeans for Spring is that they are well made, with the perfect stretch, especially in their skinny jeans.
In this outfit of the day, featuring ripped denim for Spring, I am wearing a light pink top from a blog collaboration, olive green, skinny jeans, from of course, Abercrombie, and sandals from Charlotte Russe. My oversized aviators are by Salvatore Ferragamo, and I know the trend now is micro sunglasses, but I just cant seem to get on board with this trend. I think if you like something, it doesn’t necessarily have to be what’s on trend. I think I will also be aviators or wayfarers kind of girl. I am also trying to really clean out my closet, and I am thinking of putting this top and shoes on my donation pile or on my Poshmark, but I always think I may miss them.
