Strawberries are not only delicious , they are also one of the best foods you can eat. I never used to like strawberries. I hated that sometimes you get really sweet juicy strawberries, and sometimes, they are as tart as can be. The unpredictability of a batch of strawberries just drove me crazy. Fortunately for me, H and B absolutely loves strawberries. And so began my love affair with strawberries. There are just too many good reasons to eat strawberries to ignore these delectable fruit.So what are the good reasons to eat more strawberries?
1.) Strawberries are high in vitamin C. Vitamin C boosts the immune system and strengthens your body. A cup of strawberries has more vitamin C than an orange! With a strong immune system, you are less likely to get sick.
2.) Strawberries are anti aging. Strawberries are full of anti oxidants, ridding your body of free radicals and inflammation. This means that strawberries may prevent wrinkles. If this is not a good reason enough to eat more strawberries, then i don’t know what is =)
3.) They can fight off cancer. Strawberries have flavanoids that are anti cancer. As we get older, it is easy to be more concerned about cancer. Eating more strawberries is a good, proactive way to live a healthier lifestyle.
4.) They are good for your eyes. Strawberries have antioxidants and vitamin C that are great benefits to the eyes.
5.)They are good for the heart. The phytochemicals and vitamins in strawberries can lower bad cholesterol.
6.) They can fight off Type 2 Diabetes. Strawberries have fiber which can help ward off Type 2 Diabetes.
