One of the often neglected areas of the face is the delicate area around the eyes. Due to genetics, I am prone to puffy eyes and dark circles, so naturally, I am always on the lookout for any products that promise to address these issues. This post is not an advertisement or sponsored. I am always on Sephora, and I came across the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Eye Patches, which sells for $48.00 for 60 pads or 30 treatments.
Sephora describes Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Eye Patches in their site as a:
“A powerful, yet soothing eye treatment that reduces the look of dryness, puffiness, dark circles, fine lines, and wrinkles. The energizing and refreshing Cucumber De-Tox™ Hydra-Gel Eye Patches visibly awaken fatigued skin. Infused with cucumber extract, the gel formula contours to eyes and supports skin’s natural detoxification process while visibly nourishing, hydrating, and de-puffing this delicate area. Aloe, chamomile, and allantoin soften and calm the eye’s apperance, while hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and hydrolyzed collagen deliver intense moisture for a plumper look and visibly enhanced tone and density. Arnica and caffeine combat dark circles. Eyes are left looking and feeling bright, revitalized, and youthful.”
I really liked Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Eye Patches, as I think it reduces the eye puffiness through its cooling technology and formulation. I don’t have a lot of wrinkles and fine lines yet so I can’t say if this product is effective for that, however, I’m pretty sure it can’t hurt. I did not notice any significant changes with my dark circles either , and from my experience, a good concealer usually does the trick. Overall, I think these eye patches truly makes a difference in the areas around my eyes. I don’t know if the effects are cumulative as I am only halfway through my jar but I did notice a sudden change within each use, however the effects are not as visible the next day. I generally will use these patches the morning before I want an extra help with my skincare. Beware when using with other acids or masks though. I had some light laser treatment one night prior to using the patches, and these patches irritated my lasered skin, turning them pink for a few hours. I would think using a glycolic mask or any other acidic beauty products will not turn out well with this product. Otherwise, I love this cucumber gel patches and I expect to buy more in the future.
