Black dress and Gladiators

by Lesley Kim

Hi all!! I’m so in love with gladiator sandals. I don’t even know if they are still in style or have been out of season.  Does anyone know?  I’m pretty excited to find this Zigi Girl tall gladiator sandals from Nordstrom fit me perfectly.  I am also wearing a black and white MinkPink dress and the Louis Vuitton Favorite MM. My sunnies are old and my necklace is by Forever21.   xoxo…

Yellow and Green Oh My!

by Lesley Kim

Hi everyone! It’s been sunny and warm here in the Valley that I am looking forward to  when the days become cooler.  What I love about Southern California is that usually the mornings and afternoons are warm and as the sun dips down, the breeze comes for a cooler night.  Lately, this is not so. It’s been hot in the mornings and almost just as warm in the evenings. Definitely not the SoCal I love.  Anyway, I wanted to share that I give myself time frames to get things done (otherwise, they do not get done at all).  I told myself, by the end of this month, I should have our condo in downtown Los Angeles cleared out.  I am making progress, but I don’t think I will be making my schedule… I get so easily distracted by other things…. like blogging… =P.  I am really hoping I get our condo emptied out soon. But driving from the Valley to downtown Los Angeles can be such a pain…It’s probably about 40 miles. Throw in LA traffic and it can easily be an hour and a half drive each way.  So, of course, I’m procrastinating =)…  What do you have a hard time with?

_MG_0252For my yellow green ootd, I am wearing a top (looks like a dress here, I know) from Dillards, crochet shorts from Charlotte Russe, sunnies by Kenneth Cole, and wedge sandals from Charlotte Russe.  My Ippolita earrings are from my hubby, purchased from Bloomingdales. I like pretty, bright colors like this top in this yellow green ootd, but looking through my closet, I kind of want to stock up on neutrals like beige, white, cream and black.  It is challenging to wear bright colors all the time, but with neutrals, they can pretty much go anywhere with anything.  xoxo…

Party Dress

by Lesley Kim

Hi everyone!  Yes, my life is so boring that this outfit is now what I consider a party dress, or a night out with the girls kind of dress. The first time I wore this dress was actually on a second trip with my now hubby to St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort at Dana Point.  There was a beautiful wedding that weekend, and for those who can afford such a gorgeous setting, the Monarch Beach Resort is definitely worth considering, as the ceremony is held looking out to the ocean. Those were the times pre kiddos.  Now, we are lucky to get away for a dinner, let alone a weekend together. Anyway, my dress is Daniel Benjamin, bag by Gucci, and shoes from Aldo.  xoxo…

Blue Trouve Top

by Lesley Kim

So I thought I should throw on something different today.  I don’t think I’ve ever worn this blue Trouvé top so I decided to take it out for a spin ;).  Now that I have most of my clothes unpacked, I can finally see the many clothes I have, especially those that I have not  worn.  I am wearing BP Collection shorts with my blue Trouvé top, which I think I purchased both from Nordstrom Rack.  My Louis Vuitton bag is gifted to me by my hubby’s from Bloomingdales, my necklace is from Forever21, and sunnies by BCBGMaxAzria.Blue trouvé top Blue trouvé topBlue trouvé top

Denim Shorts and Fringes

by Lesley Kim

Hi everyone! I’m just going to make this a short outfit of the day post.   I love wearing denim shorts for the summer.  You can easily dress them down or dress them up.  For my ootd, my loose abstract print top is from JCPenney, shorts from Abercrombie&Fitch, sandals by Steve Madden and fringe crossbody handbag from Nordstrom Rack.  Have a great day!

Pastel Dress Today

by Lesley Kim

Hi everyone! I have been feeling sick so I haven’t been productive lately. I have so much organizing to do, I am seriously thinking of hiring an organizer.  Has anyone ever tried this? I am pretty neurotic though and will probably be most comfortable handling my things myself even though this will probably take me months to accomplish. Anyway, I have been rummaging through my closet to donate and I found this “maternity” pastel dress.  I love the color for the season, and it’s loose and airy. I think my favorite color palettes are those in the pastel family, however, I am obsessed with neutrals lately.  Our entire house is surprisingly very neutral and I am loving it. Well I hope you are having a great week so far. I am going back to organizing =)….. xoxo

Printed Dress with Gladiators

by Lesley Kim

Hi everyone!  Happy 4th of July!  We have had several visitors this long weekend and so our house has been quite busy.  It’s always nice to have friends and family over and luckily, I was able to squeeze in a little bit of time for blogging.  I’m not one to dress for the holiday so my ootd is lacking the appropriate red, white, and blues.  This loose printed dress is actually one of my “maternity” dresses.  I pretty much skipped the actual pregnancy clothes and opted for loose, flowy dresses I can reuse post baby. In this Printed Dress with Gladiators ootd, my dress is from Macy’s and my favorite gladiator flats are Steve Madden. This comfortable combination is perfect for looking cute and staying cool while we play with the kiddos and hang out with the adults for this patriotic holiday.

MAC Lipsticks Review

by Lesley Kim

I ordered 4 new MAC lipsticks from www.nordstrom.com, and I am so happy to receive these beauty products.  When ordering my MAC beauty products, I usually like to order from Nordstrom. They have free shipping, and if I ever need to return or exchange a product, I feel like it’s much less hassle. Today, I am reviewing the 4 lipstick colors I purchased-  Gossamer Wing (Lustre), Ring my Bell (Glaze), Long Legged and Fabulous (CremeSheen), and Have Your Cake (Matte).

MAC Lipsticks

Long Legged & Fabulous

I typically gravitate towards Matte Lipsticks but its nice to have a little change so I decided to try the Lustre, Glaze and Cremesheen lipsticks from MAC.  I think the Gossamer Wing and Ring my Bell were more on the nude color spectrum with sheen to it.  I would use these lipsticks for everyday, simple use, and possibly even on top of other brighter lip colors.  They would definitely add a glossy finish to my other Matte MAC lipsticks.   Long Legged & Fabulous and Have Your Cake, on the other hand, are brighter colors that would look amazing for days I want a more pronounced lip color.

MAC lipsticks

Have Your Cake

I think I just love to have a variety of lipsticks and the best things about these beauty products is you can layer them or mix them to create the perfect color.  I would recommend these 4 lipsticks if you are like me, who likes to have options. I believe that a new lipstick can update your style in an affordable and easy way. However,  if you are looking for an everyday color, these 4 colors are probably not for you. I would recommend the MAC lipstick Brave (Satin) instead, which I love!!

Chartreuse and Cream OOTD

by Lesley Kim

Hi everyone! Even though my doctorate program is coming to an end, I still have countless things to do to get organized in our new home. One day, I hope to post a short tour of our new house so that you can take a little peek into my life in Calabasas. Today, I managed to take a break from organizing and somewhat decorating to pose an outfit of the day. For this Chartreuse and Cream OOTD, I am wearing a Chelsea & Violet loose top, soft mustard colored Hue leggings, BCBG Max Azria sunnies, Forever21 earrings and Louis Vuitton Speedy. I love to mix colors with neutrals, and for this ootd, I mixed a creamy top and nude stilettos from Aldo with yellow leggings. Do you like to wear neutrals, colors, or a combination of the two?

Summer is Here

by Lesley Kim

Hi everyone! After a long hiatus from blogging, I am beyond excited to restart this creative hobby of mine. Just to catch you up with what has happened since my last post-  my newborn is now an adventurous 7 month old, my toddler will be starting school in Aug., we moved from downtown LA to Calabasas, and I am at the tail end of my doctorate program. So much has happened, but all wonderful things.  I have to say, my doctorate program was one of the most intense experience of my life and I am so glad to get back to fun things like blogging, Disneyland, and reality TV shows =).  Despite the blistering heat here in the valley, I managed to snap some pictures for my reentry back to blogging.  In this OOTD, I am wearing a Jack dress from one of my favorite stores, Swell, a Gucci bag, Charlotte Russe sandals, and Kenneth Cole aviators.
