Two kiddos later, my fashion style has evolved from bright colors and delicate fabrics to neutrals, simplistic prints and durable textiles. As most moms can attest to, the simple the clothes, the better. Through the decades, there have been a number of different kinds of “mom style”, but I think the common theme in mom styles are the ease, comfort, and simplicity of the outfits. Simplicity does not necessarily mean simplicity in aesthetic but more so in the effort department. When you have to two kids you need to help get ready, plus yourself, time is not exactly abundant. With two young kiddos, I have adapted to getting ready in a flash, and I found that my mom style is highly dependent on my collection of mommy friendly clothes. These include simple tees, sweaters, skinny jeans, leggings and tennis shoes. This outfit of the day is my typical mom style, quick and easy, and pretty cute. I have a collection of white tees (because they match everything), all relatively inexpensive, and most from Target for about $5.00. Maybe some will say white is not too kid friendly, however, my kids are pretty neat overall, plus at $5.00 a shirt, I’m not too worried. And white is just so flattering isn’t it? I also live on skinny jeans, and this soft green skinny jeans is from Abercrombie, which I got on sale. My Adidas bold sneakers are my current fave, comfortable enough while carrying the babe, but stylish enough for a young mom. What do you think of “mom style”?
