IMG_5893Malibu is one of our favorite places to visit.  Something about this small community, nestled by the Pacific Ocean, that seems almost magical. Malibu has become the homes of many celebrities and Hollywood stars because of its warm weather and beautiful beaches.  This affluent beach community is well maintained and eco friendly.  For example, in Malibu Country Mart, trash bins are either for compostables or for recyclables. That’s it. =)

In this visit to Malibu, H, B and I decided to have lunch at Cafe Habana, a trendy Cuban/Mexican restaurant.   Cafe Cabana originated from New York, and if you love Cuban and Mexican food, you will love Cafe Cabana.  The environment is laid back, with ample seating outside for those who want to enjoy the salty breeze from the Pacific.

Fresh chips and salsa are immediately delivered to our table.  A perfect start to Lunch in Malibu! For starter, we had Seabass Tartare, the citrus marinade complementing the fresh seabass sashimi.  I had the fish tacos while H had the braised beef.  Everything was so delicious!IMG_5836

We stopped at Malibu Yogurt and Ice cream for dessert.   Malibu Yogurt and Ice cream is an old fashioned frozen yogurt place, where the frozen yogurt are milky instead of the tangy frozen yogurt that has become the norm. Their  shakes are made with a scoop of your choice of ice cream for extra thickness and yumminess.  Lunch in Malibu was absolutely delish! =)
