Hi lovelies! Today, I wanted to review the Alba Botanica Even Advanced, day cream and night cream. I purchased my creams from CVS for about $10 each. One of the main reasons I wanted to try Alba Botanica Advanced Even, day cream and night cream, was due to their natural ingredients. After all, the Alba Botanica Advanced Even are 100% Vegetarian and does not do Animal Testing, or have Artificial Colors, Parabens, Phthalates, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Myreth Sulfate!
A little bit about the Alba Botanica Day Cream
“This botanically powerful Marine Complex, rich in nourishing lipids, stimulates cell regeneration to reduce the appearance of blotchiness for a more uniform skin tone. Dull, sleepy skin becomes fresh, even and bright in just two weeks.* It’s the wake-up call your skin has been waiting for. Wears well under make-up. Hypo-allergenic. ”
A little bit about the Alba Botanica Night Cream
“This little gem works the night shift to help break up uneven pigmentation and dull spots for a bright morning complexion. When used nightly, this botanically powerful Marine Complex, enriched with DMAE, stimulates cell regeneration to reduce discoloration after 2 weeks* while it plumps skin with continuous moisture. Potent antioxidant-packed Thioctic Acid helps minimize the effects of sun, stress and time. Sleep on it for more clarity in the morning. Hypo-allergenic.” (www.Albabotanica.com)
I was a little disappointed by the Alba Botanica Even Advanced. The night cream was a tad better than the day cream, but not significantly. I guess for the price, I should not have expected much. Both the Night cream and day cream were lacking in their moisturizing effects. Over all I saw no difference in the texture and suppleness of my skin. My skin tends to be on the dryer side, therefore a good moisturizer and Night cream is a must. The Alba Botanica Even Avanced did not do a good job plumping my skin or creating a brighter complexion as described. In order to get the most out of the night cream and day cream, I had to add a few drops of my favorite natural oil like Argan oil or vitamin E oil to enhance the moisturizing properties of the cream. The Alba Botanica Even Advanced is all natural, without preservatives or harsh chemicals, which is a big plus. Maybe for some people, these products will have different results, but for my dry skin, I needed more moisturizing properties.

I received the Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Instant Infusion from a friend, and always the one to try new things, I wanted to share my experience with this toner. The Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Instant Infusion can be purchased from retail stores such as Sephora or www.fresh.com for $48.00.
A little bit about this toner:
“Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Instant Infusion is proven to provide 24 hours of moisture and significant protection from environmental stressors while evening skin tone and refining skin texture. The radiance-boosting formula also softens the skin which allows ingredients to penetrate more deeply, enhancing the efficacy of your complete skincare ritual.” (www.fresh.com)
- A proprietary complex derived from a potent blend of black tea, blackberry leaf extract, and lychee seed extract is proven to inhibit damaging free radicals and improve skin elasticity.**
- Polysaccharides help to smooth the skin.
- Japanese mandarin extract helps boost radiance and even skin tone.
- Hyaluronic acid works to attract and seal in moisture for supple skin.
- Rosewater is notable for its soothing and balancing properties.
- Vitamins E and C help protect the skin. (www.fresh.com)
I kind of like the Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Instant Fusion, maybe because I love the ingredients. The directions state that you can apply this product via cotton ball or with your fingertips. I prefer to sprinkle about 10 drops into my palm and pat this toner onto my cleansed skin. The consistency of this toner is thicker, almost like a watery gel, so I feel like a cotton ball will just soak up all of its goodness. I think this toner hydrates my skin, especially after washing my face, and it sets my skin properly for my moisturizer. I feel like my skin is softer and more moisturized when using this product, and one bottle will definitely last a very long time.

Watches are the must have accessories right now, especially the boyfriend, eye catching ones. I recently received my new, wood watch from Jord and fell in love with this new addition to my collection of watches. I have several watches, ranging from Burberry to Michael Kors and I won’t lie, this wood watch from Jord is probably going to be my newest favorite. If you want to check out this unique brand of watches, you can go to their site www.woodwatches.com.
I have the Jord Ely watch in Maple, which retails for $129.00, and it is absolutely adorable. As you know, I love gold colored accessories and for me, the Ely watch in Maple is the perfect size and color to go with all my favorite accessories. My most favorite part about the Jord Watch is that it is light enough to wear all day with all my bangles and bracelets combo. I like my Michael Kors boyfriend watch, but I found it too heavy, especially when you layer with other accessories. The Jord Watch is super light, yet durable and high quality. It is sustainable and made from natural wood! I am definitely loving my eco friendly Jord Watch, and I’ll probably be wearing it on most of my OOTD because of its versatility, quality and beauty =)
What do you think? Would you try a wood watch?

I don’t really love receiving flowers. They are beautiful for a few days, and as they lose their freshness, it’s a little bit sad. And when you have to put them in the trash, it feels like throwing a part of you, given to you, by someone you love. I always tell my hubby no flowers, but he doesn’t want to be the husband who never gives his wife flowers, so occasionally, he will give me an elaborate bouquet. This Mother’s Day, I received 2 dozen pink roses, delivered to my front door in a beautiful long box, from Roseshire. I have to admit that their presentation was pretty stunning. I thought the flowers were gorgeous.
I followed the instructions given, and arranged my long stemmed roses in a lukewarm water filled vase. Literally on the third day, my roses were already wilted. It was totally disappointing and reaffirmed my belief that flowers are a waste of money and time. (Trimming and arranging 24 roses did not take a minute). I would have rather received a small pot of mini roses from Trader Joe’s. Out of curiosity, I looked at Roseshire to check out how much my husband paid for these luxury roses. I was pretty shocked to see that 2 dozen roses were $160! They didn’t even last more than 3 days, and I could go to the Farmer’s Market and get much cheaper roses that would last a little bit longer. I honestly would not recommend Roseshire unless you want an initial wow effect from that loved one, and don’t really mind spending $160 on 2 dozen roses. They were beautiful, however you can easily buy comparable, but more affordable roses.

I am so excited to receive the FarmHouseFresh products that I ordered from www.farmhousefreshgoods.com. I love natural products and FHF products are the most delicious smelling natural products I have ever come across. (I used Fresh products for a long time and I was disappointed to know that most of their products contain parabens.)
A little bit about FHF, “Each product is made with up to 99.6% natural and naturally-derived ingredients. Everything (they) make is Paraben & Sulfate FREE and our fragrances are all natural or phthalate free. Many of (their) products are also Vegan and Gluten Free.” (www.farmhousefreshgoods.com).
My favorite FHF products are the backcountry caramel lotion and the sweet cream lotion. These scents are sweet, luscious and will remind you of decadent ice cream. The ones in the picture above are travel sizes, at 2.4 oz for $14.00. The larger sizes for home come at 10 oz for $28.00. The lotions are rich, creamy and will moisturize your skin like no other lotion. The scent is also comforting and will follow you around in a gentle halo all day. If you want to try other FHF products, I am also obsessed with their natural Splendid Dirt Nutrient Mud Mask with Organic Pumpkin Puree, $22 for 3.25 oz,

Fiber Lashes are extremely popular these days, so when I saw Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fiber at sephora.com, I decided to try it. The Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fiber is $19.00 at stores like sephora, macys, and tartecosmetics.
“What it is:
An easy-to-apply, faux lash system with sculpting fibers that enhance lash length and volume to create the appearance of false eyelashes.
What it does:
Get the wide-eyed look of false eyelashes at home without the traditional faux lashes. The lightweight, black sculpting fibers seamlessly build onto your own lashes to achieve a naturally voluminous eye look in three simple steps: First, prep lashes with the included Lights, Camera, Lashes™ 4-in-1 Mascara. Next, extend lashes with fibers, using a gentle patting motion, and apply fibers onto top of lashes, starting at the middle and working outwards toward the tip. Finally, set them in place with mascara, applying a final coat to lock in the fibers—leaving lashes with dramatic volume.
This set contains:
– 0.10 oz Lights, Camera, Lashes™ 4-in-1 Mascara
– 0.028 oz Nylon lash fibers
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
What else you need to know:
This product is vegan-friendly and dermatologist-tested.” (www.sephora.com)
I was really excited to try the Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fiber. I sometimes wear fake lashes but I find them time consuming and difficult at times. I wanted to see if a fiber lash mascara can do a similar job. First of all, the Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fiber is not a mascara. You first apply mascara, then the extending fiber, and then another coat of mascara to set the fibers. You can always add another coat of fiber lash to make your lashes more dramatic, but you always have to end with a coat of mascara. Overall, I didn’t think that the effect of the Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fiber was dramatic. I think that a good mascara can achieve a similar effect, but the Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fiber does add more volume and length. I am somewhat neutral regarding the Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fiber. It is quite expensive for $19.00, without really adding the dramatic results that I wanted.

I really wanted to buy Clarisonic Opal, but for $185, I was extremely hesitant to try this promising beauty device. Luckily, I saw a LivingSocial deal for Michael Todd EyeSonic Duo, which features a similar type of sonic vibrations that enhances the absorption of eye cream for $29, regularly $107 at the Michael Todd website. So of course I had to try this serum infusion system.
Eyeosonic Duo is a Sonic-Ionic Serum Infusion System, infuser and organic eye cream
Sonic waves and ion technology in one! eyeosonic is the next generation in the care of the delicate skin around the eyes and fine lines above the upper lip. Skin care products can nourish and moisturize better when absorbed deeper and more evenly into the skin than with fingers alone. Eyeosonic combines (i) sonic waves at 160 oscillations per secondwith (ii) ion technology to make our INTENSIVE Organic Eye Cream more effective by amping up absorption into the skin.
Using electrically charged ions and sonic vibration, eyeosonic penetrates through the skins outer “wall” to the living cells beneath to carry nutrients and moisture in your creams and serum deeper into the skin where they can do the most good. Aestheticians (specialists in skin beautification) recommend that products used on the skin around the eyes be applied with gentle tapping rather than rubbing to avoid damaging the delicate skin in this area. eye-o-sonic replaces manual rubbing and tapping with sonic vibrations like 100’s of finger taps a second to better infuse serums.
The result is the skin around your eyes is left nourished, hydrated, refreshed and feeling great. Plus the eye-o-sonic is fun to use and relaxing. So once you’ve tried the eye-o-sonic, you will never want to go back to applying eye cream and serums with your fingers again.
INTENSIVE is made in the U.S. with 90% organic ingredients and contains NO parabens, sulfates, artificial color or fragrance or added water. Not tested on animals. “Tops my list of best eye cream treatments” according to Andrew Ordon, M.D., co-host of CBS’ “The Doctors.” 15 ml / .5 fl oz
The eyeosonic and eyecream from Michael Todd is a powerful solution for those looking for extra help with the signs of aging in the eye area.
I really love the eye sonic infuser. It provides a light and gentle vibration that feels soothing. I feel like the eye sonic infuser truly helped with massaging my eye cream into the delicate areas under the skin. I haven’t been using the eye cream that came with the device as I find it irritates my eyes, but the infuser is amazing. I even use it on my forehead to relieve tension and ease my frown lines. For $29, I highly recommend the Michael Todd eyeosonic Duo. I, however, would not buy it for full price.

A little bit about the Lancome Genefique Yeux:
Formulated in an elegant gel texture enriched with Genifique technology, Genifique Yeux helps reactivate key signs of youth and fight against visible signs of fatigue. Use daily for a rested, youthful-looking eye contour, as after a good night’s sleep.
See visibly younger, brighter eyes in just 7 days. Dark circles, fine lines, eye bags* and under-eye circles seem to diminish, and the eye area looks fresh and luminous.
See younger, brighter eyes in just 7 days.
This unique gel-cream leaves the eye contour velvety to the touch. Dark circles and signs of fatigue appear to diminish. The eye contour appears brighter and more radiant, as if infused with life.
In 1 application, 85% felt a softer eye
My Lancome Genefique Yeux Review:
The Lancome Genefique Yeux (eye cream) is a gel like cream that easily absorbs in the eye area. It is lightweight and does not leave any residue or film on the skin. This eye cream does hydrate the skin around my eyes, but I can not say it diminishes my dark circles. (A good concealer seems to be the only thing I have found that works for this). I do think my eyes have less puffiness, and not as dry. I do not think this eye cream is special or amazing, when compared to most other eye creams. It is also average price and better than not applying any eye cream at all. If you think that $65 for a teeny bottle is just beyond your price range, I think a dab of organic oil around the eye area right before bedtime works just as well =)
